We are so excited to announce that Friday Camps begin next week 8/28! 🎉
Our students will have the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging STEAM Camps focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! 🧪💻⚙️🎨📐

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with strong diesel repair experience, diagnostic skills, and the ability to maintain and repair school buses and fleet vehicles.

🍎 New Arizona Healthy Schools Act – Smart Snacks Information for CVES Families
Dear CVES Families,
Beginning this school year, all Arizona schools are required to follow the Arizona Healthy Schools Act, which includes updated Smart Snacks requirements for foods served, sold, or provided to students during the regular school day.
What does this mean for our school?
Any food or beverages that are:
Sent in for classroom celebrations
Provided for birthdays
Used as classroom rewards or incentives
Shared as classroom snacks
Sold through fundraisers, clubs, or school organizations
must meet the Arizona Smart Snacks requirements.
This means that traditional celebration treats such as cupcakes, cookies, candy, pizza, ice cream, sugary drinks, and other non-compliant snacks may no longer be brought to school for classroom celebrations during the school day.
What can families send?
Healthy options that meet the Smart Snacks standards, such as:
🍎 Fresh fruit
🥕 Fresh vegetables
💧 Water (with no added ingredients)
🥨 Other approved Smart Snacks that meet the state requirements
Please review the attached flyer for additional information and examples of approved snacks. Before purchasing items for a classroom celebration, we encourage families to verify that the product meets the Smart Snacks guidelines.

We are excited to share that free breakfast and lunch will once again be available for all students during the 2026–2027 school year!
This year, breakfast will be served in the classroom to help students start their day ready to learn. Beginning at 7:20 a.m., students will head directly to their homeroom classrooms, where they will have time to enjoy breakfast before the 7:40 a.m. start bell. The tardy bell will remain at 7:45 a.m.
Please note that this change will not affect our morning drop-off procedures, bus routes, or arrival routines. The only difference is that students will eat breakfast in their classrooms instead of the cafeteria.
We look forward to providing a calm and welcoming start to each school day and are excited to continue offering free breakfast and lunch for every CVES student this year!

Our team is hard at work preparing for the new school year and assisting families with Kindergarten enrollment and new student enrollment. Front office staff will be available during the following dates and times:
