Testing was a success today! All fifth grade students and fourth graders in Mrs. Olson's class will be taking the writing test tomorrow morning. Please make sure they sleep well tonight, have breakfast tomorrow morning, and arrive to school on time by 7:45. Thank you for your support!
Happy Paraprofessional Day! At CVUSD we have some of the very best!!!! Show our paraeducators some extra love today ♥
In the school sector, paraprofessional educators are also known as teacher’s aides, paraeducators, para-pros, and classroom assistants. These fantastic people deliver targeted support to students who may need extra help and work to maintain the classroom, keeping it running smoothly. Paraprofessionals are unsung heroes of the education system. Paraprofessionals help shoulder some of the enormous workloads and allow teachers to focus on what they do best - teach!
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day seeks to bring these professionals to the forefront and show them a little extra love for all the incredible work they do, day in and day out.
Thank you CVUSD Paraprofessionals!

Hello CVES Community! Tomorrow is our 3rd-5th graders chance to shine when they take the AASA Writing Exam at 8:00am. Dear Camp Verde Families and Staff,
With different parts of our community under the warning of flood, we understand some affected areas may have difficulty arriving at school. However, we are planning to continue school and busing as normal. Please be safe and take care of yourselves and your families.
Dear parents, Due to a notice from the Yavapai County Emergency Services, the area of Verde Lakes is on “GO”, which means homes in the area are being evacuated. Repeating this is the area of Verde Lakes, Camp Verde.
Parents with students in the affected area please arrange with your school site to have your students picked up at this time.
For questions regarding the flooding or evacuations call the Yavapai County Emergency center at 928-442-5103.
Quarter 4 Friday Camps begin this week! We still have a few spots available. If your child would like to participate in Friday Camps, please send a completed permission slip to school tomorrow or stop by the school office to complete one. Thanks! :)
Dear parents, Due to a notice from the Yavapai County Emergency Services, the Wet Beaver Creek Area is on “GO”, which means areas of Beaver Creek are being evacuated. CVUSD is sending students from Rimrock, and Lake Montezuma home for the day. The Beaver Creek bus will be running from the High School shortly. Middle and Elementary School parents, please work with your student’s school to arrange pick-up. For questions regarding the flooding or evacuations call the Y.C. Emergency Services phone bank at 928-442-5103.
Welcome back from Spring Break, CVES Parents and Families! We hope you had a great time together. Just a couple of reminders to finish up our year strong:
1) We are in the final stretch of the year and testing is coming. We are shooting for 100% attendance for quarter 4. School hours are 7:40am to 2:45pm.
2) Students are not allowed to have their hair dyed any color that is not natural to them, per our student handbook (see student agendas). If your child has dyed their hair, please return it to their natural color.
3) Toys, including Pokémon cards, are not allowed at school, per our student handbook.
Thank you so much for all of your continued support. We appreciate each and everyone of you!

Hello Camp Verde Families,
Last week with the inclement weather and a delayed start in school we sent out messages via phone calls, text messages, and social media.
If you did not receive the call, there could be a couple of reasons. We either do not have your current phone number or maybe your voicemail is full. If you did not receive a call from us, please contact your child’s school to update your information.
The best way to stay in the know is to download the Camp Verde Cowboys app.
Download for Android https://bit.ly/3T968pw

Communications are shared on that platform regularly!

Read Across America Week is here! Monday- Wear your favorite animal print or camo to school. Tuesday - Dress up as your future career! Wednesday - Book of Colors (PK and Kinder Red, 1st Black, 2nd Green, 3rd Yellow, 4th Blue, 5th Multi-Colored)! Thursday- Wear white or light shirt for Color Fun Run! Go Cowboys!
We want to thank our maintenance and custodial workers for keeping up the buildings and grounds at Camp Verde Unified School District. WE WOULD BE A MESS WITHOUT THEM!
When we get visitors who frequent other schools, we get so many compliments on our facilities. People cannot believe the age of our facilities. We credit that to these folks. These people are dedicated and incredible contributors to our system.
THANK YOU, MAINTENANCE WORKERS! ♥
